Projects!   We love ‘em, and it’s a good thing because we always seem to be up to something.   Among the gardens we manage in our area is the Castleton Garden, located on the south side of the Town Hall.  We lost a very large tree on this property in the past year and as such the sun vs shade component has shifted greatly.   Next year, we will be able to add more sun loving plants. For now though, here’s a before and after from our end of year clean up in early October.  (those hostas are HUGE!)

In June we gathered to plant the hanging baskets for use throughout Victoria Square in Colborne.   We do this every year in partnership with the Township.   We hope you’ll look for these baskets when visiting the village and enjoy them as much as we do.   Here are a few pictures from our day.   

Here’s our Christmas planter at the Castleton Town Hall from last year.   We also manage the plantings and the upkeep of the Castleton Garden on the south side of the building (as pictured above), the Ecology Garden (the jewel in our crown) and the gardens alongside the Colborne Art Gallery, among others.   Busy, busy!

Our first ever Trivia Night was held on Tuesday, June 17th.  Fun?  YES!!   In fact the evening was such a great success that we’ll soon plan another.    

Our Annual Plant Sale is held in Victoria Park, Colborne on the last Saturday in May.  Here are some photos from our most recent sale … which happened on May 31.   We sold LOTS of plants and made a few dollars, got to know some new friends and signed up some new Members.   YAY!    Here are some pics from our day:
